im in the market for a hardcore xc hard tail, after selling my handjob.was thinking either 456 or one of the ragley steel (abit less harsh than the ally?) frames,im riding round the peaks alot at the moment, the down hills are ace but ive gota get up em,what are the ragleys like at climbing?

With a 73.5deg seat angle on the 18in, they climb very very well (and time trial to petrol stations when you’ve run out of petrol too).

The 16in has a 73deg, and the 20in a 74deg – keeping the rider very central on the bike, and keeping weight from being too far back over the back wheel which can result in “looping out” if you get it wrong.

So – in short – they climb and hammer on flat very well indeed. And go down great because of the slack head angle.

Is it going to be a case that the frame will be supplied with some decals applied, and others not? Or will none at all be applied, and it left for the individual to apply?

Frames will be decal-less on arrival with a sticker kit.

riding a 2002 gary fisher ht frame at the mo have 130mm forks on and know what you mean about looping out! mates keep badgering me to go FS but think this fits the bill perfect. Liking the blue.

ill wait untill the steel ragleys come out? i understand the head angle thing after going up the quarry the other night on my jump bike = slack headangle.couldnt beleive the difference it made over the rock sections, miles more confidence! even though the back end is as stiff as f*** with box section rear stays.the old jack flash, ally or steel mmm frame????????????

It looks more like Brant’s too impatient to wait for proper image files and threw up the quick screen caps instead.
    😉
