I could cover my bike in innertube, sure, but why not just design it well in the first place? Inner tube over the QR means it wont open/close unless I lift the tube. Faff. I still hanker aver a bike like my old Cove with a nice bit of seat tube able the top tube so I can slip a crud guard into the frame.

if it bugs you... cut a 3 inch piece of an old skinny inner tube and slip it on like a condom! Why not ditch the collar all together an integrate a clamp below the top tube...like on an Eastern BMX. Than you can slam that seat all the way down for the steep stuff!

I'd better allow for some more spacers then - cutting down for a 16" 456 at the mo.

Will headtube lengths generally increase with all this new euronorm stuff then?
